CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is the technique of the manual inflation of the lungs with oxygen, and compression of the heart, therefore pumping oxygenated blood around the body, and keeping the vital organs supplied with oxygen.

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills. It trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm. AED certification trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
